The Trestle House Inn has five guest rooms. Each are named from birds you can see from the windows.
All rooms have their own private bathrooms, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and unique decor.

The Cormorant Room

Cormorant - Phalacrocorax auritus

This lovely Queen Bedroom has a California Redwood Beam Ceiling and wood floors overlooking the lake refuge and Southeastern Canal. The bathroom is very spacious and features Italian tile work. This room is named for the hundreds of Cormorants fishing in the Lake refuge during their Spring Migration. This large number increases their chances of success when foraging for fish.

The Egret Room

Great Egret - Casmerodius albus

A private stairwell leads you to this lovely bedroom.  The grandeur of the King-size solid chestnut sleigh bed with selected antiques overlooking the Northwestern canal and White Iron Bridge is very attractive to our Honeymooners and for anniversaries. The Egrets favor fishing for their meal on the Northwestern Canal. Many times guests have photographed egrets in search of their meals to aptly name this room.

The Heron Room

Great Blue Heron - Ardea herodias

The largest bedroom in the inn features a Queen size sleigh bed with antique features and furniture. This room can be made into a suite with the Mallard room. The darkened walls and size of room will soothe you upon your arrival. The herons that travel to both canals can be seen from this room.

The Mallard Room

Mallard - Anas platyrhynchos

This bedroom has the best view in the Inn. Overlooking the Lake refuge and Southeastern Canal the viewing of bald eagles, ospreys, herons and hawks are incredible. The Fall through Spring migrating season for mallards has given the name to this room. With two twin beds it allows the flexibility for couples and singles.

The Osprey Room

Osprey - Pandion haliaetus

This enchanting bedroom has two Antique Oak Double beds and furniture amidst California Redwood Beams and a side view of the Northwestern Canal and White Ironed Bridge. Great to accommodate couples and families. The ospreys soaring above has given the name to this beautiful room.
